" 'What's in the Rommegrot?!" settles like a warm pot of its namesake

into the heart of a reader."

Tanya O'Conner, Driftless Journal

Even Grandma makes mistakes learns young Ella as she and her Grandmother excitedly join forces to prepare a traditional family recipe.  When things go awry, young Ella steps in to save the day – and the rømmegrøt!

Watercolor illustrations bring to life the inter-generational love between the main characters and bring a fresh, vibrant palette to this winter-themed story.  Nordic icons hint at their cultural heritage, with facial expressions and movements--

including that of a recurring “extra”--taking center stage.

A recipe for rømmegrøt is included  and a coloring page invites budding rosemalers to try their hand at this traditional Norwegian folk art.
